On gratitude

Somewhere between 2011 and 2012 I tweeted something about "voicing more thanks than complaints."

Today, I am thankful for:

a supportive and understanding husband...through my anxiousness, sleepless nights, and moody moments he has more patience than anyone I've ever met. Thank you, Jesus for him.

friends. Really, really great friends. They, too, love me through my "moments." And I love them back more than they will ever know. Simple texts from friends can mean SO much.

our home. It is cozy. It heats up quickly. It has a lot of windows. A big TV with three channels. And a gas stove. And I LOVE me a gas stove.

our jobs. I work with some pretty great people and am so blessed to have been there for 4 years. Xavier is blessed at work with a business that is growing and giving him an opportunity to build great relationships.

our church. Oh, our church. Words can't begin to explain my absolute LOVE for our church.

our pastor. His way of preaching is absolutely powerful. And Godly. I love listening to that man. Thank you, Bruce.

my new brothers. They are some of the most genuine people I have ever met and they help me to be a better person. Seriously.

groceries. Right now our fridge and our pantry are full and I am able to cook just about anything my little heart desires.

working cars. xavier and i are blessed with cars that have given us little to no issues. Minus the fact that I need a new water pump, timing belt, and new brakes. :)

my mom. She is the best and we rarely go a day without talking. I love our phone calls back and forth.

So, here's to giving more thanks than complaints!

Have a great week!

  1. I love that you have 3 channels. I don't have any (the cable hookup is on the other wall:). A thankful heart is good for the soul.

  2. Know anyone in need of a new computer to step up their blogging game? Help a girl sell her Macbook Air when things are a little tough! Thanks!
